What is ‘Growing Together’?
Growing Together is not a preschool or a daycare. This group is something much more! This is a place where parents/caretakers of kids up to 5 years old can come to enjoy fun activities together and meet others in the same walk of life.
Each monthly session will follow a loose curriculum promoting early childhood learning. Each 90-minute session will include interactive songs, books, sensory activities, gross motor skill activities, fine motor skill activities, and an art activity. We will also include a mini devotion suitable for all ages in attendance and a snack.
Every session begins with “circle time” and start off with books and songs to introduce that session’s theme. Then there will be “free time” to explore the month’s themed activities. We will wrap up with snack time and a mini devotion.
Registration & Location
We will meet in the fellowship/education areas of Our Shepherd and maybe occasionally outside, weather/activity permitting. Meetings will start once monthly to gage interest and needs. There is a possibility of adding a monthly outing as well. There will be a small fee asked per family to go towards program costs (snacks, books, activity supplies, etc.). The cost should be no more $10, but hopefully $5. If this is unable to be paid by a family, they may speak to the coordinator for aid. We do not want anyone to feel excluded due to financial reasons.
Come grow together with the little ones in your life and those in your community sharing this journey!
